SLiMDOE shortcut had accrued savings of US$ 240 billion to global economies supporting the world trade during the last 20 years (20y*$12) Whlist damaging Sri Lanka's economic resources by US$ 80 billion (20y*$3.84) without generating any revenue to Sri Lanka as reflected on ISBN 978-624-99952-1-5 published on 29th April 2023.

  2. It is proposed that using the SLiMDOE leverage Sri Lanka is given relief/grants of US$ 50 billion over the six years from the" Loss and Damage Fund"set up by the United Nations to remady the above loss based on the principles of "Natural Justice and Equity.

  3. The tabulation below illustrates as an example the impact of the above proposal on the global economies and citizens of Sri Lanka based on GDP.

  4. Despite the proposed interim grant to Sri Lanka of US$ 50 billion, the global economies gain US$ 190 billion whilst, Citizens of Sri Lanka will loose US$ US$ 30 billion.

5.  Impact of SLIMDOE shortcut on the Global Inventory Holding Cost.

The above US$ 240 billion savings (on Bunker and DOC) accrued by the SLiMDOE shortcut to the global economies does not include the reduction of inventory holding costs by the "one day saving in the supply chain", enjoyed by the citizens of global economies estimated as follows:
